Getting Together For a Drink

After a hard day's work, some people like to get together with friends and have a drink. The weekend is also a time when many people go drinking. People who drink a lot are called heavy drinkers, while people who drink in moderation are called social drinkers. In most countries, you have to be of legal age to drink.

Places to Drink
There are many places to drink such as pubs, bars, and nightclubs. Some people enjoy drinking draught beer, which is beer pured from a tap. Others prefer cocktails, which are drinks mixed by a bartender. And some people have a glass of wine with their meal at a restaurant.

Getting Drunk
As you drink more and more, you will start to fell tipsy. You begin to slur your words. You also start to stagger when you walk. At this point, many people make a fool of themselves. You also lost coordination so it important that you don't drink and drive.

Effects of Overdrinking
Sometimes people get really drunk. If this happens they might black out, which means they can't remember what they did. Others pass out, which means they fall asleep. Still others throw up what they ate. Also. if you do drink too much, you might end up with terrible hangover the next day.

===== from Micheal's class. Thanks!

# If someone is tipsy, they are slightly drunk.
# If someone slurs their speech or if their speech slurs, they do not pronounce each word clearly, because they are drunk, ill or sleepy.
# If you stagger, you walk very unsteadily, for example because you are ill or drunk.
# If someone wakes up with a hangover, they feel sick and have a headache because they have drunk a lot of alcohol the night before

## It's a good example how to drink. When I was freshman year of university, I unfortunately spent lots of time to drink many bottles of soju with friends every night. At that time, I thought it's the best and easiest way to make friends and be familiar with friends. The more we drunk a lot and started to fell tipsy and slur our words, you felt, the more we got along like a house on fire. After the classes, we tried to make the reason which we had to get together such as the first day of a class, someone's birthday, the day of finishing class earlier than before, the sunshine day and so on. So, I got really drunk with many freshmen, I almost blacked out many times. I didn't remember what I did and wondered who paid the money, but some friends of mine said that I had paid all the money for drinking for myself, I really didn't understand to that. After too much drinking, I always ended up regretting to spend a lot of money and having terrible hangover the next day.

===== Thanks Micheal.
My recommended corrections are in red.

## This lesson is a good example on
 how to properly drink alcohol and on how to behave if inebriated. When I was in my freshman year of university, I unfortunately spent lots of time drinking many bottles of soju with friends every night. At that time, I thought it's the best and easiest way to make friends and become familiar with those friends. The more we drunk and felt tipsy and started to slur our words, the more we would lose control of ourselvesWe got along like a house on fire (Sorry, I don't understand what you mean in this sentence.->it means we got more closer than before). After classes, we tried to make reasons for gettingtogether such as the first day of a class, someone's birthday, finishing class earlier than before, the sunshine day and so on. So, I used to get really drunk with many freshmen, I blacked out many times. I wouldn't remember what I did and wondered who paid the bar tab. Friends of mine would tell me that I had paidjust for myself, but it never added up. After too much drinking, I always ended up regretting the money I had spent and suffer a terrible hangover the next day.
